Google Gadgets für Anfänger
Richtad MacManus hat eine kurze Einführung in die Welt der Google Gadgets (aka Google Modules, aka Google Widgets) geschrieben. Er erklärt dort auf wenigen Zeilen den Unterschied zwischen Desktop Plugins und Gadgets für die eigene personalisierte Homepage und verweist auf die Google Gadgets API, mit der man eigene Widgets erstellen kann.
Widgets (aka gadgets, modules) are mini web apps that you can plug in to a webpage or site such as MySpace, or a personalized start page like Netvibes or live.com. Widgets are becoming more and more important on the Web, so I thought I’d spend a few posts looking more closely at them.
